Warriors Dance Festival Returns to the Bowl on 22 August

The Warriors Dance Festival takes over the National Bowl on Saturday 22 August 2026, and on paper it is the strongest single-day electronic bill the venue has hosted in some time.

The Prodigy headline, in the venue and the region where the band's live reputation was substantially built. They are joined by Carl Cox, whose sets have anchored large-scale dance events for three decades, and Andy C, whose standing in drum and bass needs no elaboration. Mr David “Ram Jam”, Japanese DJ and producer ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U and SCARLXRD complete the announced lineup.

What makes the Bowl work for an event like this is its shape. It is a natural amphitheatre, which does something for large-scale sound that a flat field cannot replicate, and it has the capacity to carry a crowd of this size without the sightline problems that plague temporary arena builds.

It also produces one of the more demanding technical environments in UK live music. Sound reinforcement across a bowl has to account for reflection off the banking. Lighting has to read from the top of the slope as well as the front barrier. Power, comms and crowd-flow systems all have to work on a site that is rebuilt from grass every time.

If you are travelling in, the standard advice applies more than usual: plan your route out before you go in, and expect the roads around the venue to be heavily loaded for a couple of hours after the last set.
